Here are Leah, Karen and Melissa holding up their favourite screen-prints at the end of the second day.
On this workshop which is suitable for beginners or those with previous experience, you will have the chance to learn different screen-printing techniques. Working with large screens and with small home-made screens made from embroidery hoops, you will learn about and use the different inks required for paper and fabric screen-printing and have the opportunity to experiment and develop your ideas to create a series of unique prints onto paper and fabric.
Included in this workshop are all equipment and materials including paper, a 1.5 metre length of cotton and a shopping bag and t-towel to print onto. You are most welcome to bring your own fabric items to print onto and items are available to purchase at cost price as well. Hot and cold drinks and homemade biscuits and (hopefully) cake are also provided throughout the two days.
Feedback from this workshop when asked what have you enjoyed?
“The freedom to get on with my own projects/patterns I wanted to do.”
“Lovely atmosphere and setting – felt relaxed but got lots done in two days. It has been an absolute pleasure and you felt like a very attentive, patient and knowledgable teacher.”
“Learning to print, printing, being with others doing the same.”
This workshop is for a maximum of 4 people and runs 10am – 4pm both days.
