I’ve been topping up my cards around Hillsborough today.
They’ve had a bit of a re-jig at the Green Shop so I thought I’d make a little video of where you can now find my cards in this lovely shop!

I’m loving this sunshine!

I’m going to be dropping a selection of my greeting cards in local shops today, but if you aren’t local you can buy my cards in sets of 4 or 10 online.

You can customise any set to include which ever cards you like. Just let me know in the order notes.

I’ve received such lovely feedback from schools

I’ve received such lovely feedback from schools recently that I wanted to share it here.

I have over 12 years experience working in schools as a teacher of Art, Design and Textiles and I have been running workshops in schools as a visiting artist for the past 10 years…so 22 years experience in total I guess!

I love running workshops for schools! Developing art activities around a theme is one of my favourite things to do.

Schools seem to really appreciate me too, looking at all the fantastic feedback. I’m so delighted and glad to be able to help.

I had a lovely time at the Print Festival @sunnyba

I had a lovely time at the Print Festival @sunnybankmills yesterday! Thanks to @artfarm123 Angela for the hilarious photo of me.

It was a gorgeous day and what a beautiful setting for a print fair. I met some really lovely people, I do love the sort of folk you get at print fairs!!
Thanks so much to the folk who came to say hello and thanks if you signed up to my mailing list. Anyone who bought something from me an especially big thank you! It means such a lot you have no idea.
It was also very nice to catch up with old printmaker friends and make new ones too. Thanks to the organisers and to the kind and patience chaps in the pink hi-vis jackets who helped me pack my car at the end of the day. I was pooped!

Anyway, I really hope to return to #sunnybankmills before too long. It’s fab!

Now I am having a Spring print sale of all my fabulous florals ( and a few other prints too) over the next week. Some works are already on sale ( I did a few over breakfast) and I’ll be adding more tomorrow. I’ve been woodcut printing (as well as collaging

I’ve been woodcut printing (as well as collaging) this week, using the jug/vessel form.

I’ve been exploring forms that vaguely resemble bottles/containers/figures for a while now. The jug is a lovely shape to include and I’m considering ways I might bring this shape into a print composition with other forms. Basically a still life group I guess.

I’m enjoying the complex pattern from the busy prints I used to make the paper jugs & collaged jugs and recreating something similar as a woodcut print. I think I like the simplicity of the green jug prints even more, although you may notice these plainer woodcut prints are embossed with patterns?

Lots of ideas. If I can I’ll bring a few of these along to the print festival at #sunnybankmills on Saturday.

I’m going to have a Spring sale! It will start on Saturday at @sunnybankmills print festival and I’ll continue it on my website the following week.
I’m going to take 10% - 20% off many of my original ‘one off prints’. It’s mostly my ‘floral’ wood cut prints in blues, reds and occasional pinks that will be in the sale. I love them and I’d love them to find new homes. If you see anything you like even before Saturday, dm me and we can have a chat.
