Meander – hand printed textile wall hanging

‘Meander’ is a one-off hand printed and hand sewn abstract textile wall hanging. It is inspired by going for walks in the Autumn season.

‘Meander’ has been hand printed in earthy orange and red and turquoise and grey blue. I have printed sections of recycled and roll-end fabrics using gelli-printing techniques and I’ve then hand sewn these together with other off cuts of recycled linen. I have sewn a ceramic ‘button’ that I made during a collaboration with ceramicist Bev Seth onto the piece too. All these ‘collaged’ together sections have been appliqued onto a larger rectangle of an ‘off white’ piece of linen which has a sleeve at the top.
I’ve embroidered my initials on the right hand side and stamp printed my logo onto the back too.

‘Meander’ is designed to be hung on the wall with a length of dowel. The dowel slides through the sleeve at the top of the piece and has two ‘eye hooks’ screwed in through which you can either run some cord or you may prefer to use small nails to hang from the ‘eye hooks’.

Please note that while I have taken every care to photograph the work accurately, every monitor is different and colours can look different to the actual piece.

The wall hanging will be sent to you carefully wrapped in acid free tissue and protective packaging and sent recorded delivery.

This textile piece cannot be washed but should be gently dusted or cleaned with a soft brush.
