Flower (in a dream landscape)

‘Flower’ is a one-off textile wall hanging. It is made up of various sections of hand-printed fabric using techniques including gelli printing, screen printing and stamp printing. Various sections have been collaged and patchworked together. Areas have been appliqued and some parts have also been embroidered. All using hand sewing.

Fabrics used are ‘end of roll’ lengths of linen and left over cotton and linen sections from my workbasket.  The whole piece is edged with a stamp printed linen border. I have embroidered my initials on the right hand side and stamp printed my logo onto the back too.

The art work is designed to be hung on the wall with a hidden length of dowel that is supplied with the artwork. With the dowel as a hanging system the artwork hangs against the wall with a slightly uneven, soft edge and surface. Please note that while I have taken every care to photograph the work accurately, every monitor is different and colours can look different to the actual piece.

The wall hanging will be sent to you carefully wrapped in acid free tissue and protective packaging and sent recorded delivery.

This textile piece cannot be washed but should be gently dusted or cleaned with a soft brush.
