Remember I said I was aiming to create something e Remember I said I was aiming to create something everyday in January? Well I still am, though posting about this I’m not so conscientious about.

Anyway, I’m pleased with three of my daily collages that have just arrived as sample cards from @theimagingcentre.

I have to order lots more cards and stationary soon as I’m running low and I’m definitely adding these to my collection.
I have a couple of weeks of working at my own pace I have a couple of weeks of working at my own pace. Planning workshops, developing new ideas for work, tidying and sorting out my studio (and house) planting seeds both literally and figuratively.

Then I have a slightly bonkers week with two full day workshops, one in a school and one a long way up the M1, so a three hour plus commute, an evening workshop, a performance with my choir and a night out dancing. I am trying to mentally prepare myself for that week but I can feel myself getting anxious.

Unfortunately this is the reality for lots of folk maybe especially if you are self employed. If this happens to you how do you avoid getting overwhelmed? Any tips on how to manage the overload?
Doing a bit of workshop prep for @artison_masham w Doing a bit of workshop prep for @artison_masham where I’ll be later this month.
By the skin of my teeth I am set up at @sunnybankm By the skin of my teeth I am set up at @sunnybankmills! 🎉🎉

I’ve not had much chance to look round so far, but I’ve got a quick video of my stall to share!

Hoping to bring a bit of sunshine through my work (and the music) on this rather grey day here in Farsley, Leeds.
I have just discovered the TV show ‘Detectorists’ I have just discovered the TV show ‘Detectorists’ and it is making me very happy. I am finding myself humming the shows theme song by Johnny Flynn, wherever I go at the moment.

Other things making me happy are my new ‘Colourful Arrangement’ woodcut prints (2nd and 3rd pics) which I’ve framed ready to bring to @sunnybankmills print festival tomorrow.

My car is packed ready for an early start tomorrow. If you are free and local to Leeds please do come and say hello. That will also make me very happy.
Good morning! I’m really looking forward to this Good morning!

I’m really looking forward to this Sunday 8th March, when along with an array of other printmakers I’ll have a stall at @sunnybankmills Print Festival.

I’ll be bring along a selection of new prints of all sizes, including some new small multi coloured wood cut and stamp prints, including this one.

If you are in the Leeds area, do come along and say hello! 😁
Really looking forward to my first fair of the yea Really looking forward to my first fair of the year this Sunday.

I’m going to be at @sunnybankmills all day for their wonderful Print Festival 2026 and I’ll be in great company with a wonderful selection of fantastic printmakers. Some of them are there both Saturday and Sunday, but some are only there for one of the days. So, you could totally justify coming both days to really see a broad range of fabulous prints!! 😉
I have a very untidy studio at the moment, but I c I have a very untidy studio at the moment, but I can’t tell you how happy a little view like this amongst the mess on my table makes me.

Anyone else get this?
Coming up with a few ideas for new greeting cards. Coming up with a few ideas for new greeting cards. As I love to make collages from my collection of printed papers, I tend to mostly use this approach for new designs.

Thinking of Spring I’ve made this one today. What do you think? Nice for a card design?
I’ve been continuing with daily creativity as much I’ve been continuing with daily creativity as much as I can these past few weeks. Not been posting as often as I know I’m meant to though. Ah well…..

Here’s a selection of small experimental stencil woodcut prints onto Japanese paper and later on some pages of experimental collage and print work in my sketchbook. I’ve got a few of these on the go at the moment. Working between them as I let layers dry.

I’m using my sketchbook to play with ideas without thinking too much. Using the left over paper stencil shapes from the woodcut prints along with additional painting, mark making and essentially doodling!

I find doodling can be a great starting point for new ideas these days. The same shapes keep reappearing…but sometimes they morph to become something new and interesting.
