I dropped a big box of greeting cards off at @sheffieldmakershuntersbar this morning & thanks so much @gracewong_art for helping me with this. 🙏
I was racing about running a few errands so couldn’t stop for long, but I noticed how lovely the shop was looking!

I’ve also added lots of my cards to my website now. You can buy in sets of 4 or 10. Postage is free and you can have any combination of cards you like. Just let me know in the order notes.

After a couple of days of deliberating and making

After a couple of days of deliberating and making an almighty mess in my studio, I think I’m happy with my collage of the Old Coach House (now the Depot Bakery) in Hillsborough Park. I’ve been meaning to finish this for an embarrassingly long time and I’m glad to at long last feel I’ve completed my first creative job for this year.

From now on in hopefully things will happen a little more quickly. We shall see! I have a lot of collages that I’ve been meaning to work on for a long while now. It’s a very different process for me compared to printing and I need to get my head in quite a different place.

I’m really looking forward to getting some printing done but now I’ve got my collage head on this may have to wait…..

Unless I continue messing about with this (the trees aren’t stuck down yet) I’ll have this collage available as cards and maybe prints (?) soon!

I’ve two workshops planned for this early part of the new year. Both of them are taking place near me in a community hall just on the edge of Sheffield in Worrall.

It’s been a lovely Christmas break so far. It’

It’s been a lovely Christmas break so far. It’s really re-energised me and as 2024 draws to a close, I’m working on new workshops for schools for next year. I’m updating my website accordingly and I’ll be sharing more about this soon.

In the mean time I’ve made a quick reel of some gelli printing experiments I did for a workshop with some Y2 students who had been learning about Cubism and also primary and secondary colour!

I have scrolled through the gazillion photos I’ve taken this year and have shared a random few that bring some colour and hopefully give a snapshot of this year. It’s been a blast!

A lovely mix of creativity and making and sharing my love of this with others. From tiny tots to my more mature students. I’ve loved it all! Thank you so much for joining me with all this.

I’m going to enjoy a bit of family time, eating, drinking and making merry as is tradition at this time of year. I wish you the very best. Xxx

Tomorrow I’ll be at Hillsborough Pavillion ( in

Tomorrow I’ll be at Hillsborough Pavillion ( in the park next to the bowling green) for @rivelinco’s Festive Makers Market. Open from 11am.

As well as new work I am bringing along some secret goody bags, some wrapped up surprises and I’ll be having a sale of some of my works onto wood as well.

Hope you can come along. There are some fantastic local makers going to be there and it should be a lovely day!!

An excellent day yesterday.

I managed to visit the @hchontos exhibition at the @thefinchproject_ which was truly wonderful. I’m so inspired by the combinations of media, the colours, the different marks, lines and daubs on each artwork. Just wonderful.

Then a lovely wander about through ‘London Tan’ before an afternoon at the Theatre to see ‘cousin Annie’ performing in Macbeth alongside David Tennant, followed by a delicious meal catching up with her and hearing all her news.

Finally more wandering, seeing the lights and hearing all the music and general business of the big city before a wander back to the Barbican where we are staying in a gorgeous bedsit courtesy of @alan.benzie.

Next week I’m really getting my head down with two school workshops and my final event of the year with @rivelinco. It’s good to have had this blast of culture before a busy week. It’s revived me and filled me with ideas and inspiration!

Thanks to @jamesgreenprintworks and @suzitprints for organising the fantastic @sheffieldprintfair yesterday.

It was really great to be at a fair on my home turf and see so many familiar faces & lovely loyal customers come and say ‘hi’ and have a catch up. Thanks so much especially to everyone who bought work from me. I really do appreciate your support.

So many great printmakers at the event, but
it was so busy from the start that I barely had time to wander about the fair. However it was nice to briefly see and chat to @robins_room, @luizaholub, @maggiemagoodesigns, @evelynpolk, @lucygell, @shirleystevenson175, @studioaprille and most importantly many thanks to @joanna.rucklidge for helping me pack up at the end.

Only one more fair this year but before that, next Sunday I have my ‘Festive card and gift wrap printing’ workshop. If you would like to join me there a just a few spaces left. It’s going to be a lovely afternoon of printing and getting just a bit Christmassy.

Sat 7th Dec it’s the Festive Makers Fair with @rivelinco here in Hillsborough. One of my fave fairs of the year!
