After several weeks of non-stop printmaking worksh After several weeks of non-stop printmaking workshops, I’m having a lovely break. I thought I’d share some of the wonderful feedback I’ve received from schools recently following my visits. You can read more about my workshops for schools following the link in my bio.

Have a lovely weekend!
Here I am at the @thearthouseuk in Wakefield for P Here I am at the @thearthouseuk in Wakefield for PRINTED!

There are a few select printmakers here today as well as printmaking activities to get involved with. It’s quite nice and cool in here too so if you are free and local come and say hello! 😁
A brief moment filmed yesterday at Eckington Festi A brief moment filmed yesterday at Eckington Festival where I was running printmaking activities yesterday.

It was non stop busy in the small gazebo where we had to zip up the sides of the tent it was that windy!! Papers blowing everywhere.

Everyone had a fab time though!

Next week I’m visiting a school over two days where we are creating collaborative printed sculptures!!
I just love these lampshades so much! They are rea I just love these lampshades so much! They are really giving me summer time vibes! If you scroll through you can see the process of me making them.

I was printing them partly through the heatwave ,so maybe that’s where all the oranges and yellows came in.

I’m really chuffed they’re finished, along with some other works which I’ll share soon too. These aren’t available to buy directly on my website, but I’m always happy to answer any enquiries about them and I do make lampshades to commission.

You can find out more on my linktree. I’ll be bringing these particular ones to @thearthouseuk’s PRINTED event next Saturday (July 11th)

As well as the fair, I’m been in the thick of making lots of other work and also running lots of workshops over the next few weeks. Tomorrow I’m at Eckington Festival running printing activities from midday. If you are local to the area come and say hello!!
What I’m doing today. 😁 What I’m doing today. 😁
Some sun prints following a heatwave. Had some fun Some sun prints following a heatwave. Had some fun yesterday block printing on babygro’s for my niece’s new baby. Also, a few of the colourful and varied woodcut prints made on my workshop on Saturday for @carousel_print_studio in a challengingly hot room with inks drying faster than we could roll them out. Nonetheless the prints produced where really fantastic!

Overall last week was hard! The heat was overwhelming, my daughter had her prom early in the week and the melting temperatures were not conducive to carefully styled hair and makeup looking as it was meant and then on Wednesday my 84 year old mum was rushed to hospital with sepsis!

Thankfully my sister had the wherewithal to call for an ambulance the minute she saw mum and all is well, after several days in hospital where she received wonderful attention from the NHS.
A few shots of work in progress in my very humid s A few shots of work in progress in my very humid studio as I complete some woodcut prints - some to become lampshades and some to be mounted and framed …..and a few cats too!
They’ll be ready for various events including PRINTED at @thearthouseuk on July 11th and I’m so organised, I’ve already popped a few things on my website too. I’ll add the cats soon, but I’ve not photographed them yet!
Lovely block printed textiles workshop yesterday. Lovely block printed textiles workshop yesterday. Had a cancellation so just a couple of lovely ladies and we had a really nice day. Even did some clothes ‘upcycling’! Lots of chat and moments of joy, as always.

I have 5 more workshops over the next 5 weeks and 1 print fair! This was a lovely ease in to a busy time and a reminder of why I love sharing my enthusiasm for printmaking.

I’ll have more workshops after August, so if you’d like to be first to know do sign up via my website or drop me a dm to find out more.
I had such a lovely time this morning visiting Mal I had such a lovely time this morning visiting Maltby where my @prideofyorkshiretrail lion ‘Joy’ is now standing proud. You can find her at @maltbyleisurecentre and we even managed to coax the manager of the centre to come and have his photo taken with me! See last pic!!

Right next door to the leisure centre is @limetree_nursery. While I was visiting I’d arranged to drop in and meet some of the children there, after seeing how much they liked the lions on social media. I absolutely loved meeting them all and showing them my original drawings for the design and some other bits of work too. They all told me their favourite colours in turn and enjoyed asking me a few other questions, along with nearly all of them telling me how old they were ( mostly 3!) and that they were having birthdays soon or had just had a birthday. They were very cute and the staff at the nursery were really welcoming and enthusiastic too. Special thanks to Alice for taking so many fab photos.

I can’t tell you how much it warms my heart seeing how much everyone is loving the lions! So many thanks to the @sheffchildrenshospitalcharity for making all this happen.
I’ve been wood cut printing some lengths of fabric I’ve been wood cut printing some lengths of fabric to be turned into lampshades. It’s great fun!
I always find adding some yellow really makes the colours pop!

I’ll be bringing this finished lampshade along with others to PRINTED at @thearthouseuk in July and you can find my lampshades at @spiralsfairtrade in Hebden Bridge too!
