I’ve been printing ‘scribbles’ using different techniques since then. Using them in various ways in my work. This week I’ve cut a scribble out of a sheet of plywood. I’m not fully sure where I’ll take this though I have a few ideas. If you scroll through the photos you can see the whole process.

I seem compelled to create using my hands. To mak I seem compelled to create using my hands. To make things that bring me joy and a sense of order amid the chaos. Constant rearranging and reimagining. At the moment I’m enjoying seeing repeated motifs in different media across 2 and 3 dimensions. Here are a few photos of recent work and a few pieces will be exhibited at @cupolacontemporaryart from next weekend through to October, for their exhibition ‘Structure’.

The preview is this Friday evening.

Just to add that if you sign up for my mailing list (which you can find on the home page on my website if you scroll to the bottom) I’m offering discounts until Aug 31st! Be quick!! 😀
I can’t explain why it’s taken be so long to make I can’t explain why it’s taken be so long to make these wooden blocks as I’ve been thinking about them for hmmm…. about 15 years.

My work is always linked to childhood memories and full of the notion of play in many ways. Here in my studio I can be fully absorbed as I was when I was playing as a child.

While my head and body have been so exhausted and sapped by the endless heat and news of fires and so much other sad, sad news, working on these today has been completely absorbing.

So many possibilities. Endless. Not sure how these will evolve but thought I’d share some work in progress.

I know there is a lot to feel down about but looking over photos from the past 12 months I have to say it’s been a really wonderful year. I’ve so much to be thankful for. Couldn’t do it without my friends and community and especially @notatennisplayer and @antoniamurrayyy
After several weeks of non-stop printmaking worksh After several weeks of non-stop printmaking workshops, I’m having a lovely break.
