‘Fabulous Florals’ printing workshop at Worrall Community Hall

Saturday 29th March 2025 1pm – 5pm.

Come and do some Fabulous Floral printing with me! I love using florals and foliage as a starting point for printmaking and collage. The shapes, colours and textures are a great subject matter and source of inspiration for my print and collage work.

I thought it would be lovely to share some of my printmaking techniques with you, so on this 4 hour workshop we will use print and collage to explore the shapes, patterns and colours we see, using both floral imagery and also some brought in bouquets of flowers and foliage.

You’ll learn a few easy and simple printing techniques to create really effective and interesting results using colourful water-based paints and inks and simple printmaking materials. We can explore mono-printing & stamp printing and develop our ideas in a range of directions using both printing and also collage activities.

There will be time to experiment with techniques, produce a few different designs, and at the end of the session you will have some beautiful original art work to take home.

Included in the price of the workshop will be chocolates and cake and a glass of Prosecco (or Nosecco) tea or coffee if you prefer.

All equipment and materials provided and no previous experience necessary. If you have your own ‘Gelli Plate’ you’d like to bring that is great. I will be showing you various printing techniques that you can use with a Gelli plate but it’s not essential. Bring an apron or wear clothes that can get messy.

This workshop is for complete beginners or for those with previous printmaking experience.

I’m looking forward to it!

Where is the workshop taking place? The address is The Memorial Hall, 49 Towngate Rd, Worrall, Sheffield S35 0AR. Worrall is on the edge of Sheffield, it’s a 5 min drive from Hillsborough. Here is a map
